Junior’s leadership conference
At the beginning of March, our Junior School leaders (Year 6) attended the GRIP Leadership Conference at Sydney Olympic Park.
The GRIP Student Leadership Conference is designed to train students for their role as school leaders, with the goal that they leave with a clear vision, a solid understanding and dozens of ideas for their time as a leader.
The style, topics, and content of this conference all focus on what the students can do right now to effect positive change within the school community.
Some of the valuable lessons encompassed: taking initiative, helping others, being inclusive, serving others, guiding others, encouraging others in and out of the classroom and teamwork. The students exchanged notes with students from other schools and took away lots of new ideas. As always, our students were outstanding representatives for our school.
