Year 10’s Adventure at Sydney Harbour!
Our Year 10 students had the chance to step out of the classroom and into nature with a day of exploration around Sydney Harbour! 🌊 As part of their environmental studies, they experienced firsthand the topics of environmental change, biodiversity, and more.
Here’s what Juliette Browne had to say about the experience:
“Spending the day out of the classroom in nature around Sydney Harbour, we saw practical demonstrations of information we had learnt in class which was both very beneficial and extremely enjoyable. Boarding the bus in the morning, I, along with the Year 10 cohort of The McDonald College, were unsure of what to expect of the day ahead of us. Little did we know it would be an incredible experience. Once we arrived, we were greeted by our tour guide Roger, who was friendly, enthusiastic, passionate, and extremely informative. We were very fortunate to ride around Sydney Harbour in a boat, a trip which was both educational and lots of fun. Guided by Roger, we learned engaging, in-depth information about environmental change and management, and about the geographical history of our city Sydney. Later on, we arrived at Watsons Bay where we were taken through interactive activities learning about biodiversity. Upon reflection, my experience with the Ranger Jamie Tours was nothing short of educational, insightful, and definitely a lot of fun.”
