Completing their first year of school life
The last term of the year has flown by in a whirlwind of learning and fun! Our kindergarten classroom has been a hive of activity, with each day bringing new discoveries and exciting experiences.
A Starry Performance
One of the highlights of the term was undoubtedly our Starburst performance. Every child, without exception, shone brightly on the stage, performing dance routines, acting skits, playing the violin, and singing their hearts out. The excitement and anticipation were palpable as they eagerly awaited their turn to perform. It was truly heartwarming to witness their confidence and enthusiasm.
A Foundation for Learning
Beyond the stage, our days have been filled with a wide range of learning experiences. We’ve delved into the world of phonics, mastering letter sounds and blending them to form words. Our reading and writing skills have soared as we’ve applied our phonics knowledge to practical tasks.
Number work has also been a focus, with many children demonstrating impressive skills in counting, recognizing numbers, and even reading and recording 3 and 4-digit numbers!
We’ve embarked on exciting journeys to different places, exploring what makes them special to various people. Our science investigations have sparked curiosity as we’ve experimented with different materials and observed their properties.
Farewell to Our Little Stars
As the school year draws to a close, it’s bittersweet to say goodbye to our grown-up Kinders. Watching them transition to Year 1 and 2 fills us with pride and excitement. We wish them all the best as they continue their learning journeys.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of their early years of education. We’ll cherish the memories we’ve made together.
