BStreetsmart national competition winners
Congratulations to our Year 10 PDHPE students Zayli, Elana, Kiara, Kristen and Lucia who are the national winners of the 2018 BFilmed Road Safety film competition as part of bstreetsmart.
The announcement was made to a crowd of 7000+ students at Qudos Bank Arena on 28 August 2018. The students were awarded both a trophy and a $1500 prize, which will go towards the College. Their short film, which included real life paramedics, was shot and directed by the students. You can watch the announcement below.
The initiative raises awareness around road safety for young people aged between 15 – 30, and is a yearly event. The purpose of bstreetsmart is to reduce the fatality and injury rates of young people by promoting safe behaviour as drivers, riders and passengers.
The below short film has been published with permission from the NSW Ambulance service.
