Laura Ariola

Laura Ariola (formerly Scuderi) began her classical ballet training with Donna Burland, and under her tuition completed her Australian Teachers of Dancing exams up to Advanced level. In 1995, she commenced her academic and after hours studies at The McDonald College under the guidance of Josephine Jason and Allan Cross. During this time Laura completed her RAD examinations to Intermediate level and was a member of the Premier State Ballet Youth Company, performing in Sydney and around NSW in many ballets including The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, Swan Lake, and Coppelia. She also danced the guest role of Coppelia with the Queensland Ballet in 1998.

In 1999, Laura was accepted into the Australian Ballet School, where she gained the opportunity to perform with the Australian Ballet in their productions of Coppelia and Raymonda.

Laura then went on to complete her certificate in Dance Teaching and Management with the Australian Teachers of Dancing gaining a Distinction. She has been teaching classical ballet in both the ATOD and RAD syllabi, Tap, and Jazz since 2001, and has choreographed many solos and group performances for her students, many of whom have been successful in competitions and scholarships throughout Australia. Many of Laura’s past students have gone on to gain places in prestigious ballet schools both in Australia and internationally, as well as within the Australian Dance and TV industries.
