Alumni News: 2023 Logie Nominations
With its long-standing tradition of honouring exceptional achievements, the Logies Awards serves as a prestigious platform for celebrating the finest talents and programs in Australian television, as well as being a platform to recognize the tireless efforts, creativity, and dedication of the individuals and teams behind the captivating television programs that have entertained audiences throughout the year.
Amongst a wide pool of talented national artists, there are two McDonald College former students:
Ayesha Madon has been nominated most popular new talent. Ayesha has been playing Ameria Wadia, the main character in Heartbreak High, an Australian Netflix series.
Alumnus, Tim Draxl, was nominated most outstanding actor for his role as David Westford in ABC’s In Our Blood. Tim has always been an amazing performer, so as much as the news doesn’t come to us as a shock, we still feel very excited to see our alumni community strive.
We congratulate our former students for the nominations, and we take pride in knowing that we helped shape the outstanding performing skills that have earned them these well-deserved commendations by the television industry.
The ceremony will take place on the 30th of July. You can vote for Ayesha, Tim and your favourite Aussie shows here: https://www.tvweeklogies.com.au/
