Senior Contemporary Dancers stunning at the showcase

Our Senior Contemporary Dance students stunned at the Senior Showcase with three pieces. Our thanks to choreographers Lexy Panetta and Todd Sutherland.

Charmene Yap produced excepts from Rafael Bonachela’s Ab [intra]. Described as “a ferociously physical and emotional piece which will stay with you long after you leave the theatre,” Charmene did the complex and challenging piece of choreography justice.

This term for Industry Day, we were fortunate to secure some precious time with Rafael Bonachela who is the Artistic Director of Sydney Dance Company and Richard Cilli, the company’s rehearsal director for a Q&A. It was a fascinating and informative session about the choreographic process.
