Bravos all around our Classical Ballet stream

Congratulations to all the fabulous cast and crew for their outstanding performances of The Nutcracker on 24-27 July in the Ann Fraser Auditorium.  With two casts, over one hundred costumes, a spectacular Christmas tree, falling snow, lots of props, and fantastic lighting, the dancers performed to five sold out audiences.

This term, we farewelled Year 11 student, Sarah Wheatley, as she begins her final training with Elmhurst Ballet School in the UK. Sarah successfully auditioned for Elmhurst, which is linked to the Birmingham Royal Ballet, earlier this year. Sarah’s 3-year course will allow her to complete her ‘A’ level academics and achieve a Diploma in Professional Dance, validated by Trinity College London.

We look forward to following Sarah’s journey and wish her all the very best with her next chapter of ballet training.
