Building Strong Foundations: Crossroads Camp 2024
The Year 11 Crossroads Camp provided students with a dynamic blend of physical challenges and personal development sessions aimed at fostering teamwork, self-reflection, and personal growth. Participants engaged in a variety of team-based physical activities, promoting collaboration and resilience in an outdoor setting. In addition to the physical challenges, students took part in the Love Bites and Tomorrow Man/Tomorrow Woman programs, which addressed vital issues surrounding healthy relationships, consent, and the empowerment of both men and women. These engaging and thought-provoking workshops encouraged open discussions about respect, personal boundaries, and emotional well-being, providing students with valuable tools for navigating relationships and building a positive, respectful future.
Due to the overwhelming popularity and positive feedback from the Tomorrow Man and Tomorrow Woman sessions at the Crossroads Camp, a follow-up session was organised back at school to continue the momentum of these empowering programs. The session encouraged further discussion and reflection, providing students with additional strategies for promoting respectful interactions and emotional well-being. We look forward to continuing with the final two modules in 2025 and then implementing the program to our incoming Year 11s.
