Behind the Scenes: Preparing for A Midsummer Night’s Dream
As the curtain rises on our reimagined production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the dedication and hard work of our Senior Acting and Music Streams students come to light. To bring the unique setting of a small outback farming community to life, our students have been immersing themselves in the culture and environment of rural Australia. They’ve been researching local flora and fauna, understanding the nuances of outback life, and even incorporating authentic accents and mannerisms into their performances.
Shakespeare’s language can be challenging, but our students have embraced it with enthusiasm.
The set and costume design is underway, lines have been memorised and a balance between drama and comedy is being fine-tuned.
Bringing a play to life is a collaborative effort, and our students have been working together seamlessly. They’ve been supporting each other through long rehearsals, offering feedback, and celebrating each other’s successes. This sense of camaraderie and teamwork is what makes our production truly special.
Our students are eager to share their hard work and passion with the audience. They’ve poured their hearts into this production, and it promises to be a night filled with magic, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
