Alum | Hugo Dumapit

Hugo Dumapit was born in Sydney and started dancing at age four.
He trained at The McDonald College, and afterwards accepted a place at the Australian Ballet School, graduating in 2021.
There, he won the Australian Ballet School Excellence Award for highest achiever in Levels 6 and 7, the Graeme Murphy Award for Excellence in Level 7 Contemporary Dance, and the Areti Boyaci Award for Excellence in Level 7 Spanish Dance.
Hugo officially joined the corps de ballet of the Australian Ballet in 2022, enjoying his first performance season in various productions such as Kunstkamer and Butterfly at the Arts Centre, Melbourne.
As a child, Hugo was a cast member in a Bollywood movie filmed in Sydney. When he’s not dancing on stage, Hugo enjoys playing guitar and keyboard, and DJ’ing.
